Happy New Moon in Scorpio! Another Mars-ruled lunation, that emphasizes the critical position Mars occupies right now, in the last or anaretic degree of Cancer, exactly opposite Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto, also at 29⁰, is finalizing his 16-year stint in Capricorn, leaving that sign for the next 248 years and beginning his 20-year run through Aquarius, starting November 19th.
This happens just as I am finalizing my move to another house in the same charming town of Arnaudville, Louisiana. Which explains why I haven't taken the time to delve deeply into the astrology of this one, but I will leave you with a few takeaways:
Mars opposite Pluto at 29⁰ Cancer/Capricorn. Death of old power structures, possibly accompanied by violence (let us pray this is not the case) and/or sudden revolutionary-like occurrences, thanks to the simultaneous connection with Uranus.
Grand water trine Mars, Mercury, Neptune: eloquence in the expression of deep-seated emotion, such as through magnificent works of art, music or poetry.
Jupiter in Gemini opposite Venus in Sagittarius: the Benefics align our thoughts, meditation and prayers into cohesive patterns that allow for maximum healing, especially with Chiron in Aries in the mix.
Mercury in Scorpio opposite Uranus in Taurus, also connected to Neptune: this is mind/body awareness that can cause deep emotions to surface and express suddenly.
With these 2 connected to Mars and Pluto, we have a very complete and powerful chart that creates a unique kite formation, with Mars and Pluto on the main axis, and Mercury and Neptune as the wings.
This new Moon, being so close to the elections in the US, undoubtedly indicates some unrest regardless of who wins. Not surprisingly, as the rhetoric of division has been ramping up, and people are either feeling fear of a candidate portrayed as the worst of all possibilities, or they are feeling that the same candidate with a quantifiably positive track record has the potential to pull us out of an historically difficult predicament that the past 4 years has clearly engendered.
Do your research (preferably not on Google) and beware of the propaganda machine that has been cherry picking information and presenting it as factual. And please do go to your polling station and vote. No matter who you vote for, the energy behind your vote is needed for positive changes to happen. We may be looking at a period of unrest, but this is a necessary step toward the transformation of a society based on greed and lust into one that values family and our physical and spiritual connection to the Earth. We are One under the Sun.
